I’m in the lounge room of our house in the bustling metropolis of Norseman, Western Australia. He-man figurines battle for control of Snake Mountain. The Battle of the Planets is screening on ABC and I think ‘Back on the Chain Gang’ by The Pretenders can be heard on the wireless.

The Wikipedia entry describes Norseman, with a population of 1,000, as a “large town.” Fuck. That’s an apartment complex where I’m living at the moment!
